Currently it is September

Even though none of my calendars say September, I guess it really is. I cant believe it.  This summer and the first few weeks of school flew by for me.  But here we are with the currently.  I am not feeling well so I will keep this short.

My three things are fairly self explanatory. I want to start cooking more.  This summer my husband and I ate out a LOT, so we need to get in the habit of cooking again.  We had some great meals this weekend though so I think we are on the right track.

Grad School. Ugh. I think I need to start this soon. I want to apply this month. I will need to do it online since I am internationally located, but any advice otherwise would be awesome!

Reading: I want to keep reading this month like I did over the summer. I want to finish the book I am half way through and then finish another one in September.  Hopefully it is not too lofty a goal.

Cant wait to check out the other Currentlys! Go and enjoy.  I am in the top 50... I cant believe that.  ha.

Currently

It is already March.  Wow.  I keep saying that every month but every month seems to fly faster than the one before.  Today is full of downloading and printing tedious wonderful centers. Ugh. I hate doing that. But it is for the good of the cause right?  Maybe tomorrow I can get a manicure or do a little shopping!

My puppy, Chico, got neutered Thursday.  He was so depressed and drugged. But since then he has been as happy and hyper as before.  This is the best picture we have ever taken together.  Plus, my new hairs.  I say new even though it was just a trim. But sometimes just a little change does a whole lot of good!

Recently, I have decided to get some clothes made, especially because finding clothes to fit me here in Thailand is not happening... Asians do not have hips... and I DO!! So tomorrow hopefully I will be out to find some fabric.

Report Cards ugh.  Enough said

Bowling - I like it.  I am generally quite the embarrasment though, skipping, sliding, and being silly.
Bananas - I LOVE bananas. I eat them all the time. In smoothies are now my favorite.
Bees - GROSS!

February Currently

February is upon us.  Frankly, I am not a fan of February! HA! Why we have 1 month totally different that the others is beyond me. Plus, Valentines Day is not my favorite. But, I can not do anything about it other than join in on the fun!

Listening: Anyone else have husbands who are addicted to playing video games but freak out about it all the time? I think it is hilarious! It is just a game!
Loving: That's right we just booked it! Vietnam for 5 days. I am so excited. We moved to this half of the world to travel more so we are finally doing it!
Thinking: I haven't missed a whole lot of things being over here but football/sports parties are one of them.  I will be at school during the game, BUT I have a free period during part of it so I might try to sneak in some game time.... is that bad for me to say..... oh well they wont mind!
Wanting: who doesnt want to go shopping.  I have not been in sooooo long that I think it is time.
Needing: Generally I do nothing on Saturdays and school work on Sundays.  Saturday we did fun stuff around town so Sunday I need to be very productive!
Pet peeves:  ugh! Disrespect. My kids are terrible!  I get on them often about being rude or disrespectful, especially to new people or people they do not know.  UGH!

Well that is all for today.  I am trying out new center/station review on Monday for our Math test so I will let you know how that goes.  I was inspired through Pinterest so hopefully it works!  I love Pinterest.

Currently

I can NOT believe it is December already.  But in honor of it is the new Currently from Farley.

Keeping up with shows makes my heart happy after long days at work!  Bones and Revenge are my current favorites!

I love that is December and things are becoming Christmasy!! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! It is so weird to be in a foreign land during this time but I am excited to experience new things.  I went to the market yesterday and found this teeny tiny watch shop turned Christmas with real stuff from AMERICA!! I was stoked. I got myself a 3ft tree, some real lights that do not burn up as soon as they are plugged in and some decorations................ Only problem is I have only put 1 strand of lights (which is clearly not enough) and 2 ornaments on.  It is need of some help!

Shopping! Who doesnt love shopping during Christmas.  The sales here are nothing compared but still I want to shop!  Plus, I need new dress pants for school.  Not having a dryer means I cant shrink my pants.  MAJOR problem.  Plus I have been losing weight - yippeeeeeee! - but again means problems with the pants!  ugh.  I will figure something out eventually.  

RAK - I LOVE this.  Random acts of kindness are my favorite things.  This week I have been planning on writing some notes of encouragement to my friends and family. I would love to include some goodies.

This week I am planning on starting a contest with my class.  We have two doors to our room. The boys get and the girls get the other.  Their goal is to create the best Christmas tree they can out of paper and other available materials.  We will also be discussing shapes during this time so we can try to include as many of our shapes as possible!  Then, the school is going to vote for the best one.  In order to vote, each person has to list an adjective describing the tree.  The girls especially seemed very into this but I think the guys will come around to it.  It will also be good bonding for my class.... because they NEED some mega bonding time!

November Currently

November is here!!!! I love November.  I am linking up with Farley and her November Currently!  She is so fun and creative.  I can not believe I didn't recognize Lexi from her picture the other day.  Anyway, here we go:

I finally joined the bandwagon and have been watching How I Met Your Mother.  I am very pleased :)  It makes my nights so much better!!  

Even though I am in Thailand the weather is starting to get cooler and it is wonderful.  

My puppy Chico is adorable.  Even though he bites everything when he is calm he is irresisitable!! 

Planning...ugh.  Sometimes it just comes to me.  Today it is like pulling teeth!

I think I have set a record.  I have been here for 3 months WITHOUT a cell phone.  My students can not believe I don't have one.  I havent bought one here because I want to use my Droid from home but I havent gotten around to that yet.  Hopefully soon though.  

Music.  I want to play music in my class often.  I just dont have much. Sadly pandora doesnt work in Thailand.  BUT I have found Grooveshark to be wonderful if not better.  I love the Electronica station and that is what I play most often while the kids are working.

August Currently

Today I am linking up with Farley from Oh Boy 4th Grade.  I have wanted to join the fun for awhile now but hadn't gotten the courage but here I am today! 

B2S:  Post-its...duh.  Every year I need new ones! No matter what.  Sharpies are the same way.  I loved that Wal-Mart was selling them individually so I could buy the colors I needed wanted.  Last time I got a lovely teal and a lime green.  Finally, a new outfit.  I love starting the new year with a new outfit. It makes me feel new, refreshed, and ready to go!

Oh WAIT!!! One more thing.  I found out today that I only have 1 yes ONE surface in my entire classroom that is magnetic.... not a good thing for this girlie.  SO tomorrow I am off in hopes to find some bakery items that are magnetic to create some magic!  Just thought you might want to know another frustrating lovely thing about Thailand.  

Oh wait... AGAIN! I just remembered. Today I found Fourth Grade Flipper and Holly is having a wonderful giveaway for her 100 followers goal.  She is giving away an Amazon Giftcard.  I am still looking into if I can actually use this or not but most everyone CAN!
